Your next role with IndiCater
We’re building something special and always on the lookout for talented, lovely humans to join our team.
Business Development Executive
What we do:
At IndiCater, our mission is to empower hospitality teams to love what they do. With over 25 years of experience, we’re passionate about delivering hospitality software solutions that make running food service businesses easier, more efficient, and more profitable. We’re trusted by a wide variety of clients, including contract caterers, care homes, schools, hotels, pubs, restaurants, and leisure venues.
Who we are:
We’re a team of ex-hospitality professionals who believe people do their best work when they have the freedom, support, and resources to plan their own days and have their voices heard.
We offer a flexible and supportive work environment, with a mostly remote setup. As a team, we come together at least once per quarter, with some individual teams meeting more frequently based on location and needs.
We are human. We embrace a culture of openness, balance, and continuous improvement. We value contribution, honesty, and the lessons that come from failing fast. We celebrate our differences and the unique strengths they bring. We care about our clients, the industry we work in and the people around us. As a small but agile team, we offer the perfect environment to grow your career and make a genuine impact.
IndiCater is owned by Volaris which provides additional opportunities that come with being part of a global organisation, such as access to events (online, within the UK and around the world), peer to peer learning, networking and training.
The role:
We’re looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to help expand our client base and drive revenue growth. This is a brand-new role, designed to optimise our growth and take our business to the next level.
Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, you’ll play a key role in growing our pipeline of leads and opportunities, building strong relationships, and helping to achieve sales targets within the UK hospitality industry. If you have experience in both sales and hospitality, and understand how software solutions can save time, money and improve decision-making, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the hospitality sector, its sub-sectors, and know how to adapt sales approaches based on prospect type and persona.
- Proactively identify and generate leads through strategic outreach, including smart calling, while effectively managing inbound queries.
- Conduct discovery calls and meetings to assess prospect needs, evaluating their fit with IndiCater and determining when to pursue or qualify out opportunities.
- Manage all prospect communications and expectations and provide timely and engaged feedback to develop and nurture relationships.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to prospect needs, both in person and via Teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM (currently Salesforce), providing timely insights through forecasting processes and regular reporting
- Prepare and present well-structured proposals, offering solutions that directly address prospect challenges to successfully secure new clients.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop and refine our value proposition, provide strategic feedback, and contribute to the creation of impactful sales enablement content.
- Work effectively alongside colleagues across departments to maximise sales efforts and contribute as a valuable team member.
- Prioritise tasks effectively, setting clear deliverables and meeting expectations for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously develop and update market knowledge, acting as an internal subject matter expert and providing valuable feedback.
- Support additional business needs as required.
Who you are:
- 2–4 years of proven experience in a business development, sales, or related role.
- A strong track record of planning, managing, and consistently exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrated success in building and growing a robust sales pipeline.
- Experience within the UK hospitality industry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SaaS products and subscription-based business models is advantageous.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Technical aptitude, with the ability to confidently address client queries on both functional and technical aspects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Intermediate CRM skills, with experience using platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar.
- Full, clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle for client meetings and networking events
- Ideally located between Bristol and London
Why join us:
- An exciting opportunity to shape a new role and drive real growth
- Competitive salary of up to £35K + OTE
